Two Men Formally Indicted with Jail Killing of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder in the wake of the incarceration fatality of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 stand indicted for homicide and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to investigating officers.

Watkins, forty-eight, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was taken into custody following a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were seized.
