Skydance Paramount Plans to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – News
Paramount Skydance plans to initiate mass layoffs during the week starting 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 American roles as part of a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August with a value of $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are likely, with Paramount Skydance aiming to disclose all specifics in its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.
Prior news stated the firm aimed to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.
Until December 2024, the company retained almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 temporary project employees.
The company has not yet commented regarding the report.
